At the 2010 Cape Town Stadium Visitor  Centre, our world begins with you and  soccer lovers from all over the Continent  and abroad.

We want to ensure that all who visit the Green Point Stadium are touched with our own African brand of 2010 soccer fever.

Come on a Team 2010 experience; be enthralled by our acclaimed multi-media theatre performance; explore historic photographic exhibitions of South African soccer; see the official 2010 Stadium architectural model and take a roller-coaster virtual tour of the 2010 Stadium.  Or keep informed about the bigger picture in our bi-monthly 2010 Lecture Series.

The Visitor Centre is the focal point of the 2010 experience in the Western Cape. Its aim is to inspire and inform locals and tourists about progress with the 2010 Stadium, and build enthusiasm towards Cape Town as a host City for the 2010 FIFA WORLD CUP.

1. Stadium Presentation

The 10-minute Stadium Presentation offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the construction of the new stadium and includes interesting Stadium facts on some of the technical and aesthetic aspects.

2. The Greensman
The experience kicks off with ‘The Greensman’, a mesmerising 35-minute theatre performance about the history of Green Point Common, which has played host to over 25 000 visitors since December 2007.

3. 2010 Stadium Virtual Tour
Step into the future on a roller-coaster ride through the virtual 2010 Stadium.
The Game Plan Fly-Through is a specially commissioned virtual video that is as inspirational for architects and engineers as it is for soccer-crazy kids.
3. Viewing Deck
Climb the stairs to the 3rd-floor viewing deck overlooking the stadium construction site. An education officer will answer all your questions about 2010.

The Coach: Comfort & Luxury
When you visit the Cape, you expect your hotel room/suite to be comfortable and luxurious, so why can your tour coach not be the same. Well, we have done just that and at an affordable price to you!
The coach is 11.5m long double-decker, built and designed with comfort and luxury as the focus. The lower deck consists of a kitchen/bar (with refrigeration), a W. C. (toilet) and sofas for relaxation.
We are also able to accommodate a wheel-chaired passenger on this deck. (This facility requires prior arrangement; please request it when making your booking).
The coach can comfortably accommodate 40 passengers on both decks.
Upstairs seating is arranged with tables. The upper deck opens onto a rear-viewing balcony, which will provide an excellent elevated vantage platform for those spectacular views of the Cape and its surrounds to be enjoyed.
Due to the Cape’s high summer temperatures, we have installed air conditioners throughout the vehicle. The windows have also been dark tinted to keep out the harsh sun and to provide some privacy.

The upper deck can also quite easily be converted into a seminar/audiovisual mobile auditorium for seminar/powerpoint presentations.

CAPE TOWN JAZZ SAFARI
An evening journey through Cape Town’s jazz. Meet some of its key protagonists, enjoy intimate home performance and jazz club performance.

INCLUDES: Home music performances, refreshments, light meal at jazz club (Jazz club drinks are for the account of the guest).

This tour starts at the V&A Waterfront. This is our meeting point, and opportunity for an introduction to the evening and a short story of Jazz in Cape Town.

From there we move to the home of a Cape Town jazz musician for intimate performance.

And then we move to a jazz venue for performance and a light meal.

Monday to Sunday. 7pm to 11pm. R650 per person.
Meeting point is the Tourism office, upstairs at the V&A Waterfront Clocktower Centre.
