DSTV launches 3 new channels

 

 

Three new channels – one for music, and the others for children and movies – are to be introduced on various DStv bouquets from today, July 12.

A MultiChoice spokesman said the channels would he known as AfroMusic  KidsCo and Mzanzi Magic.

“The new channels will appeal to a wide range of audiences and increase the choice of programme viewing for our subscribers, especially in terms of the local content offering through Mzanzi Magic,” said the general manager for content at MultiChoice, Alleta Alberts.

“This channel presents an exciting new platform for the South African creative industry, and a new destination for viewers who are interested in proudly South African entertainment.”

AfroMusic is a 24/7 cable TV channel that broadcasts African music, documentaries, concerts and other music-related content with an African flavour.

It will be on channel 326 from 11am on July 12. It is available to DStv Compact and Premium subscribers and features content related to African culture from across the continent, including South Africa. For more on this article click here
